A horrific scene was left behind after a fatal car accident on U.S. Highway 160 near Elmore's Corner. Car accidents of this magnitude can be devastating, and this one is no exception. According to Colorado State Patrol officials, the accident occurred when two SUV's hit head-on on Highway 160.
Police report that at least one individual had to be extricated from their vehicle. The two drivers both sustained serious injuries in the collision. In addition to these injuries, the passenger in one of the vehicles succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Another passenger was not listed as being injured.
